New! Editing content with Workflow

You can do this using the full page editing screen or Quickedit.

Full page editing

• Click the 'Edit page' link in the page edit menu.

• Make edits to content*
• Click 'Publish now'

• The edits will be visible on the Published version of the page

Quickedit

If a Published version of a page exists and there is no Draft or Needs review version, you can edit using Quickedit.

Quickedit is accesible via the page editing menu:

If a Draft or Needs review version of the page exists, Quickedit will not be available and the following message is displayed when a user attempts to use Quickedit.

• In Manage Content, click 'Add new content'
• On the Add content screen, select either a template to use (if any have been created on your site) or a content subtype to create content from scratch
• In the New draft screen within the page edit mode, create the page content*
• When you are ready to save, click 'Save as draft' (if you want to continue editing the draft in the future) or 'Save as review' (if you want a user with a higher level role to review the content)

• After clicking Save, the page editing menu will note that no published version exists and the draft/review version is being viewed

Return to the draft/review version later

Navigate to the page, then click the 'Edit page' link to access page edit mode.

• Click the 'Edit page' link in the page edit menu.

• Make edits to content*
• Click 'Save as draft' (if you want to continue editing the draft in the future) or 'Save as review' (if you want a user with a higher level role to review the content)

• When a version of a page is saved as Draft or Needs review, the currently Published version of the page remains published.

Return to the draft/review version later

Navigate to the page, then:

• To view the draft/needs review version: click on the 'View the draft/review in progress' link in the page editing menu:
